If you’ve downloaded one of my products and unzipped the file on your computer, you may notice an extra folder called __MACOSX.
👉 If you’re on Windows, you should ignore this folder.
Here’s why:
-
When a ZIP file is created on a Mac, the system automatically adds this __MACOSX folder.
-
Inside it, you’ll find “shadow” versions of the real files, usually starting with ._ characters.
-
These are just zip resource files that Macs create during the zipping process.
-
On Windows, they won’t work and can cause confusion if you try to install them.
✅ The files you need are always located in the main folder of the zip, NOT inside the __MACOSX folder.
So, if you’re on a PC and see __MACOSX, simply ignore it or even delete it, and use the main files instead.
That’s it! Quick, easy, and problem solved.
